Do not add water to the product. Adding water will decrease the shelf life.

  • Remember to refill your jar! It conserves energy, reduces waste, and costs less!
  • Due to the use of naturally occurring clay, color of the product varies. Some deodorant paste batches will be darker than others, this does not change its effectiveness. With the darker batches of deodorant paste, it will appear dark on your skin when first applied. So, be sure to rub it into your skin until it is absorbed and is no longer visible.
  • The clay used may be either Bentonite clay (has a high volcanic ash content and so darker in color) or French green clay.
  • If the deodorant paste becomes too dry, add witch hazel and/or lavender essential oil to moisten it.

Containers are glass with lids that may be metal or plastic. You can also provide your own container to fill, and receive the refill discount.

Latin name: Lavandula x intermedia – Emeric. ex Loisel
Origin: France
A.K.A.: Dutch Lavender
Form: powder
Qualities: lightens mood, antiseptic, aromatic.
Safety: Generally regarded as safe.

Why organic lavandin powder instead of essential oils?
This keeps the cost of the product down, while still providing the benefits of lavender, such as aromatherapy, it is great for the skin, and is an antiseptic.

Essential oils are precious, and shouldn’t be overused.

According to VeriditasbyPranarom.com, “It takes 500 pounds of lavender flowers to make 1 liter of organic lavender essential oil, which costs $800 per liter.”
