By now most people’s lawns are crisp, dry and as good as dead. There are those who water their lawns all night, and have, through the vast consumption of water, denied the reality of the drought. We went up on the bluff and found that the natural prairie growing there withstands drought a whole lot better than short cut grass lawns. Go figure. The prairie is dry, but it has staying power and the flowers that are blooming are the ones that can handle drought or moist.
